Christopher L. Schnieders

Trial lawyer focused on complex civil litigation, public-entity claims, mass torts, toxic exposures, and high-stakes cases.

Chris Schnieders is a founding partner of McIntyre Schnieders and a trial lawyer whose practice centers on complex civil litigation, public-entity claims, mass torts, toxic-exposure matters, and select catastrophic-injury cases.

Chris has tried and resolved significant cases across the country. His courtroom work includes a $21.8 million jury verdict in Norfolk, Virginia in a toxic-exposure case brought under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act; a $2.575 million medical-malpractice verdict in Wichita, Kansas; a $3.9 million wrongful-death settlement in Warren County, Illinois; and a $2.4 million psychiatric-malpractice settlement in Cook County, Illinois.

He has also spent much of his career in national pharmaceutical, medical-device, and product litigation. His mass-tort work has included participation in product-liability settlements exceeding $1 billion in the aggregate, as well as the resolution of thousands of individual claims. Chris has served in court-appointed leadership and discovery roles in multidistrict and coordinated proceedings involving Uloric, Zofran, Cordis IVC filters, Zoloft, Effexor, and Avandia. He has represented clients in major mass-tort proceedings involving Roundup and other products and has worked extensively with scientific experts, company witnesses, and large discovery records.

At McIntyre Schnieders, Chris brings that experience to a practice increasingly focused on municipal and environmental litigation, mass torts and complex products, institutional claims, and cases that require a trial-ready approach from the beginning.
